I bought one of these last year. I loved it, but when we got it out of storage and went to put it back together, the center part of the frame, one of connectors where it was welded was broken and we could not fix it so we bought another
canopy grill tent! so are hoping it will stay together for another year! we were very careful with it, so we don't know how it broke! it was going to cost us $100.00 to have it welded! so we had to buy a whole new one cuz it i the perfect size for us. Thank you Mrs. Osborne
I previously had a canopy from ABC Canopy, but I could not get replacement canopy covers for that model. The Kozyard model does have replacement covers available, which is a huge advantage.
Some issues with the Kozyard model:
The manufacturing tolerances seem too loose. It was difficult to align some of the pieces during assembly. I broke a weld at the top of the unit in the effort to push the components together.
The posts must be placed in a very specific relative position, which is not obvious. I got it wrong on the first try, and I had to disassemble and reassemble with the posts placed correctly.
The ABC Canopy model had hanging hooks, which this unit lacks.
The ABC Canopy model came in better colors--e.g., forest green. The beige color seems a bit bland.
Glad I bought this grill canopy. It’s the perfect size and it seems to be well made.
Fits perfect over our charcoal grill. Provides shade for the person grilling and lights are included which we placed them above the grill for perfect lighting as shown on the pictures.
