Before you purchase, make sure you have an allen wrench drill bit set. Otherwise, this will take forever. Trust me. Go buy those.

I bought a similar product last year, I am pretty sure it was the same manufacturer. It is clear they made a number of important improvements in the design. The one I installed last year collapsed in a strong rainstorm because of water buildup in the shade cloth.
My significant other put it up single handedly, but he likes to do wood work and projects. The quality is better than I thought. It looks resort like, and I added curtain/panels on the sides to give it a more romantic, nest vibe. Then added some string lights. It took 6 hrs start to finish and opted to bolt it into cement bases instead of my actual cement patio, in case we needed to move it. Worked great and I love it. Also, the retractor works well, and since it rained, I literally use my leaf blower under the awning canvas and funneled/blew the water off the top to the sides, which was easier than retracting it during the storm. My deck is 10x12. This pergola fit perfectly. It took several hours to put up but was not too difficult. It provides nice shade and the canopy is 100 percent waterproof. I have had it up a couple months and it is attached to the deck. During assembly I feared the poles were not sturdy enough but so far so good. I would say you can do about 75 percent of assembly on your own but you will need a second set of hands towards the end.
Easy assembly followed instructions and used a tall 2*4 as a brace to assemble by myself with a small ladder nice and sturdy once i bolted down to the cement. I have the dark grey and its really nice looking
